So what does it mean to lease a horse?

By leasing a horse, you get a lot of the privileges of owning a horse but with out the purchase cost. What you get is being able to ride on your own schedule and having personal time with the horse. We offer partial leases which means we will retain all responsibility for feeding, farrier and vet visits.

Riding instruction is not included in a lease, but we recommend leasers consider taking lessons on their leased horse to be sure that they are getting the most out of their relationship with that horse.

While all of our horses work very hard in their summer camp and lesson horses jobs over the summer, we do offer limited leases on most of our horses year round.

Lease Packages:

Minimal Lease Lessee enjoys the benefit of riding 1 time per week. Leased horse will still be used for riding lessons, but lessee will have first option to schedule one riding day. Lessee must be fully capable of catching, grooming, tacking, riding, cooling out and returning horse to stall/pasture without supervision. Must have passed Evaluation. ...............$50

Basic Shared Lease
Lessee enjoys the benefit of extra riding 2 times per week. Leased horse will still be used for riding lessons, but lessee will have first option to schedule ride days. Lessee must be fully capable of catching, grooming, tacking, riding, cooling out and returning horse to stall/pasture without supervision.

Deluxe Shared Lease
Lessee enjoys the benefit of 3 times per week plus 1 lesson per week. 3 days per week with your leased horse. The Leased horse will still be used for riding lessons, but lessee will have first option to schedule ride days. Lessee must be fully capable of catching, grooming, tacking, riding, cooling out and returning horse to stall/pasture without supervision.

Me & Mommy Lease
Parents – a wonderful opportunity for children to enjoy quality time with a pony without the commitment of owning a pony. This can give you the opportunity to see how serious your child is about having their own pony. This lease is geared towards the younger child (3+) who dreams of having a pony and provides the perfect opportunity for your child to enjoy four one hour sessions per month. Sessions must be supervised by a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian is required to take two introductory sessions and the initial children’s sessions will be supervised by a staff member to make sure parent is comfortable handling the pony. All the childs riding must be leadline, meaning the parent/guardian are in control of the pony. This is a wonderful opportunity for a child to learn about grooming and horses. ........................$60

Evaluation lessons are $40 for 1 1/2 hour for the first and no charge if additional Evaluations are needed.
